Japan FANUC: roaring 3.5 billion, mass production of nano-scale ultra-precision processing machinery

Release time£º2019-07-30 Read£º372
In the field of cameras mounted on "5G" smartphones and self-driving cars, the demand for high-precision lenses is increasing. As the world's manufacturing leader - Japan FANUC, of course, will not miss this car.

According to "Nihon Keizai Shimbun" reported on May 14, Japan FANUC will build a new factory in Yamanashi Prefecture headquarters, mass production of ultra-precision processing machinery capable of processing in nanometer units. FANUC hopes to open up the market for autonomous driving through the processing machinery for mass production of lens metal molds.

Founded in 1956, FANUC is the world's largest manufacturer of professional CNC systems, accounting for 70% of the global market share and the world's largest robot company. FANUC technology is the world leader, and its products include FA, robotics and intelligent machinery. Among them, FA products include CNC, servo and laser. Its numerical control system is the most complete and complete in the world in terms of product specifications and series. It can be applied to a full range of CNC machine tools such as lathes, grinding machines, milling machines and machining centers. FANUC is one of the four major families of robots in the world. Has been the focus of attention, including collaborative work robots, horizontal articulated robots, 3D vision sensors and more. New models of robots and new functions have emerged in an endless stream, creating a lot of world uniqueness:
The only company that uses robots to make robots
The only robot company that offers integrated vision systems
The only company that offers both intelligent robots and smart machines

There are four types of FANUC intelligent machinery products, including small machining center ROBODRILL, electric injection molding machine ROBOSHOT, electric wire cutting machine ROBOCUT, and ultra-precision nano processing machine ROBONANO. The development of intelligent mechanical products revolves around the improvement of product performance, AI function, QSSR and IoT technology. As of last year, the global installed capacity of FANUC robots reached 500,000 units, setting a record for the global installed capacity of single brands of industrial robots.

Nano-scale machines are among the highest-end models, with prices ranging from tens of millions to 100 million yen. (100 million yen is about 6.37 million yuan) FANUC plans to improve nano-scale processing technology through mass production, and improve the processing precision of main products such as numerical control equipment.

The combined net profit of FANUC's fiscal year 2019 (as of March 2020) is expected to decrease by 59% year-on-year to 62.3 billion yen.
In the context of trade frictions, the decline in global investment and the sluggish demand for machine tools that are processing slow-down smartphones have had an impact on performance. Although there are not many processing machines for autonomous driving products, the need to expand the high value-added field has increased.
